Short summary (Apr 18th, 2022):
We cycled around 56 miles / 90 km in about 8 hrs. Todays tailwind reminded us, why we were progressing so nicely in Florida.
The route led us over smaller roads and two bike trails.
Starting in New Bedford with a look onto the fisher ships, then on the Phoenix Rail-Trail followed by smaller roads (with many cranberry fields) and a coffee break.
Afterwards again smaller roads through Wareham.
Along Cape Cod Canal again a bike route (with a short distance of pushing the bikes due to road works) and nice views on the railroad bridge as well as the Sagamore Bridge that we used for crossing over the canal.
Then again smaller roads until Hyannis.
In the evening – first Finn‘s Craft Beer Tap House with a very nice selection of local craft beer and then dinner at the Black Cat Tavern with nice sea food.
