Short summary (May 11th, 2022):
Leaving New York, we cycled around 40 miles / 65 km in about 7.5 hrs.
Having reached the bike trail along Hudson River, the route took us over 25 miles mainly over bike trails through Manhattan and the Bronx before coming back to smaller roads through residential areas.
We were lucky this morning. Ivo biked with us the first around 5 miles navigating us safely through Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan until the bike trail along Hudson River.
Then we cycled around 10 miles along Hudson River (with the USS Intrepid, the famous George Washington Bridge and the Little Red Lighthouse) …
… followed by different trails through the Bronx …
… and finally through smaller towns until Port Chester (incl. a break for some ice cream).
For dinner – Bar Taco tacos delivered to our hotel.
