Short Summary (Apr. 4th, 2022):
Roughly 78 miles/124 km (incl. a little 5 miles detour – guess where …), 8 hrs 45 min on the road, light wind from the side.
The Greenway started with a nice bike road along green river, then around 10 miles on A1 with a good bike lane. Afterwards again on A1A with a bike lane.
We started again around in sunrise (about 0715) and did around 15 miles along green river and A1.
We went to have a second breakfast around 0900 and very quickly realized that two combo‘s are simply too much for us for a second breakfast. Taking the second burger with us, we also were prepared for lunch …
Our little detour after taking one bridge too early:
When we joined A1A again, the almost “usual“ picture with lots of nice houses (some under construction) but almost a bit boring. Also, in these residential areas, there are no shops of cafes …
Shortly after Fort Pierce – the SEALs museum.
Later we passed Sebastian Inlet.
Another break during this long day:
And finally arrived at our Hotel (Bleu Beach Resort) with a super-friendly welcome and a very nice beach behind the hotel to get a well-deserved swim in the ocean.
To round up the day – nice food and beer in the Copperhead Tavern.
