Day 25: Rest day in Cary

During the last 6 days cycling, we did around 390 miles / 640 km. The weather was a little nasty on two days and also the temperatures were more fresh (in the 70s). The route was more pleasant to cycle than the days before with lots of bike tracks and smaller roads. Around Fayetteville, some gentle hills started, so it‘s not so “completely flat“ anymore (still on a daily base not more than around 2000 feet / 700 m). We had the impression that the northbound Greenway signage in North Carolina is better than in the states before.

Besides the typical things (having a long sleep, doing the laundry) …

… then we met Tina again for lunch and visited the Raleigh towncenter with the North Carolina Statehouse.

In the towncenter – the preparations for the Brewgaloo festival (but we didn‘t go there as we‘ll cycle again tomorrow …).
