Short summary (Apr 15th, 2022):
Today, we did around 74 miles / 120 km in around 9.5 hrs with some headwind.
The day started with around 15 miles on smaller roads, then about 30 miles along US17 with some breaks (US17 now again with a broader shoulder) and then another 30 miles on smaller roads.
This Morning, we first crossed Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge with a view on the USS Yorktown and then continued on some smaller streets until a Trek shop where we renewed some technical material and later on our lunch break.
Then around 20 miles on US17. On this part, we had quite some wind against us. On the smaller roads, the trees protect quite well against the wind – but on the broad highway, it was sometimes quite strong.
The again some smaller roads.
And finally, we arrived in Georgetown and had a nice dinner at SoCo ChopHouse.
Aha, Flugzeugträger – sollte im Schwarzen Meer liegen. Ostersonntag Rasttag?
And just like that, you are in South Carolina… Es geht flott voran! Vielen Dank für die interessanten Berichte und die schönen Fotos. Weiterhin gute Fahrt – see you soon in NYC!!!
